The sun shone for Saturday's 2010 Aotearoa Aito, with 26 SUP entrants taking to the calm waters of the Tamaki Harbour for a 6km course race. Race winners (both mens and womens) took home $1000 Starboard vouchers, 2nd place $500 and 3rd place $200, and a number of spot prizewinners scored t-shirts, caps and $100 Starboard Vouchers.
Winning the race in 44 min 47 sec was Maika Nuku, 2nd place, Mark Jackson, and 3rd Place Troy Huston. Not far behind were Mark Houghton and last year's winner Jeremy Stephenson, both of whom fell victim to the good ole seaweed on the fin. In first place in the womens was Victoria Stuart (pictured), 2nd Rose Arnott, and 3rd Dallas Ashmore.
