PaddleFit Winter Sessions 2018

Join us for a month of PaddleFit Group Training Sessions to chase the winter blues away!

Classes are designed to work in conjunction with the Starboard Spring Challenge Training Plan, to help build your fitness and skills in preparation for the first adventure of the season - the iconic Cambridge to Hamilton River Paddle Festival.  And even though participation in the Spring Challenge or Cam 2 Ham event isn't compulsory, we think it is great to have a goal to work towards and the reward of smashing it at the end!

Taking a cue from Air NZ's Seat + Bag model, we've come up with some easy options for you to connect with others on the water.


Monthly program fees:

- Basic - Starboard Spring SUP Training Plan only - $25
- Plan Plus - Starboard Spring SUP Training Plan plus 1 group session per week from our PaddleFit Winter Schedule - $99 (BYOB*)
- The Works - Starboard Spring SUP Training Plan plus 2 group sessions a week from our PaddleFit Winter Schedule - $175 (BYOB*)

POA for bespoke class packages (up to 4 per week)
*BYOB = Bring Your Own Board.  Board hire is available for an additional $15 per session.

Weekly PaddleFit Class Times that incorporate training for Cam to Ham:

- Wednesday PaddleFit II 6.30-7.30am Orakei (from 22 Aug)
- Friday PaddleFit II 7-8am or 9.30-10.30am Castor Bay (from 17 Aug)
- Saturday PaddleFit Complete 8-9am Kohimarama (from 18 August)
- Sunday PaddleFit Endurance 10am-12pm (from 19 August)


Workshops:

WERO Moving Water and Turns Workshop: Sat 16 Aug, 2.30pm

- Cam2Ham Training Run on Waikato River: Sun 26 August, 10am (depart Auckland @ 7am)

Open all

Early morning fitness and technique program for intermediate paddlers who want to improve their paddling. Progress your technique with proven drills, build skills for paddling in more challenging conditions and boost your fitness. In these small group classes you'll get real time feedback from PaddleFit Pro Coach Victoria Stuart and Helen Blair.

Some paddling experience is required.

Wednesdays - Okahu Bay 6.30-7.30am - meet at The Landing
Fridays - Castor Bay 7-8am - meet at the beach
Saturdays - Kohimarama 8-9am - meet by the boatramp
Sundays - 10am-12pm Endurance paddle. Location TBC each week.
Sunday 26 August will be practise run on the Waikato River.
